This week's Gem of the Week is the Pz.Kpfw. B2 740 (f)
Price: € 49,99
It comes with the following:
- 14,500 gold (The same amount of gold you would get in a normal € 49,99 bundle)
- A Free Garage Slot
- Pz.Kpfw. B2 740 (f)
It's basically like buying a regular 14,500 gold bundle, but with the tank and slot as extra. So definately worth it if you're low on gold and need a fun new tank
Important basic info:
Country: Germany
Type: Heavy Tank
Tier: 4
Matchmaking: Will only get in tier 4 matches
Crew:
- Commander (Gunner, Loader)
- Driver
- Radio Operator
- Radio Operator
The crew layout if a bit weird, having no actual Gunner and Loader, and 2 Radio Ops, meaning it isn't the best crew trainer, unless you want to train the Radio Operator of your Maus and E-100. (Or two other German Heavy Tank Radio Operators)
It still is a very fun tank, and probably one of the first real "Seal Club" tanks I had. Especially back in the day when there were no French and British tanks. It dominated back then. It still can, but you have competition from other armored tanks like the AMX 40, B1, Matilda and Valentine. Not to mention a lot of tanks with higher penetration values driving around in tier 4 nowadays.
But it still is a very capable tank, and compared to the B1, it feels much more mobile because of it's faster traverse speed. It also has a better turret traverse speed.
It's armor is just great, and together with the decent mobility, it can maneuver quickly and do stuff like defending the base in time, or cancel any fast tanks trying to circle you way easier.
The gun has slightly weaker stats (Except for Aiming Time) than the B1 however, most hurtful being it's penetration., but the gun is still capable, especially since it only sees it's own tier, making the worse gun stats barable.
All in all I would say this is one great tank to play for fun, since it has the best matchmaking it can get, great armor, making you able to troll enemies, and an average gun to just kick ass with as long as you stay alive long enough by using your armor.
Only draw back is that you NEED to shoot premium ammo at tanks like the Matilda, since it has no spot it can penetrate, unless you pen the engine deck from a weird angle. Premium ammo is also adviced for other more armored tanks.
