World Of Tanks - Roy's Replays (R&R): Ep 5

Episode 5 is here, with some stronk fun to support it.

Today's video brings you the following:
  • A troll shot on the move shot with a KV-2
  • Some trolling with the E-25 (Huehuehuehue)
  • A nice medium game in the FV4202
  • Sniping and scouting with the KanonenJagdPanzer
  • Being OP in the O-I Experimental.
The last one though... The OPness of the O-I Experimental... There's probably more where that came from in the future...
Anyhows, play it while it's still OP!

59-Patton: Personal Thought...

So I've played two battles that were kinda ok, but my team kinda sucked without reasoning... And then this happened...

Collector’s Gem of the Week: 59-Patton

She's a beauty!
Haven't been able to try it out yet, since I lack the credits to put my wanted equipment on it. But it looks promising from what i've seen.

From what i've heard the mobility is average at best, good armor and an average gun, AND good gun depression! (Hence the Patton turret)

The pack costs €49,99 and contains the following:

  • 4.500 Gold (Worth about €18)
  • 30 days of premium account (Worth €10)
  • A garage slot
  • 59-Patton tier 8 Chinese Medium tank
Calculated with everything included, for the tank itself is worth €22. Which is a very nice price for a tier 8 tank.

I think the main weak point will be the somewhat sluggish mobility and the 173 pen with 0.38 accuracy that can let you down at moments.

The main selling point will probably be the good armor (ignoring the weakspot on the turret) together with the gun depression.

Make your choice, and I hope you will enjoy playing or destroying this tank!

Update: Tried it out now. The tank isn't even that sluggish, and the traverse is awesome! Definately drives better than I expected! I can imagine myself having a lot of fun in this machine!

Road To Excellence: IS-4: (Side) Armor

It's time for a new Road To Excellence video!

Took some time to release this one, as I was busy with grinding the Conqueror... Which I have in my garage now, meaning I have my Mark Of Excellence on it aswell.
Which also means I am gtoing to make a review for the Caernervon, together with a couple of Road To Excellence videos to go with it.

Meanwhile I hope you enjoy this one, it's not very long, but damn, the side armor on the IS-4 is so great.. It's just such a waste when a not-so-skilled player just can't deal with you and decides to throw skilled play out of the window with premium ammo.

Collector’s Gem of the Week: Pz.Kpfw. B2 740 (f)

This week's Gem of the Week is the Pz.Kpfw. B2 740 (f)

Price: € 49,99
It comes with the following:

  • 14,500 gold (The same amount of gold you would get in a normal € 49,99 bundle)
  • A Free Garage Slot
  • Pz.Kpfw. B2 740 (f)
It's basically like buying a regular 14,500 gold bundle, but with the tank and slot as extra. So definately worth it if you're low on gold and need a fun new tank

Important basic info:
Country: Germany
Type: Heavy Tank
Tier: 4
Matchmaking: Will only get in tier 4 matches

Crew:

  • Commander (Gunner, Loader)
  • Driver
  • Radio Operator
  • Radio Operator
The crew layout if a bit weird, having no actual Gunner and Loader, and 2 Radio Ops, meaning it isn't the best crew trainer, unless you want to train the Radio Operator of your Maus and E-100. (Or two other German Heavy Tank Radio Operators)

It still is a very fun tank, and probably one of the first real "Seal Club" tanks I had. Especially back in the day when there were no French and British tanks. It dominated back then. It still can, but you have competition from other armored tanks like the AMX 40, B1, Matilda and Valentine. Not to mention a lot of tanks with higher penetration values driving around in tier 4 nowadays.

But it still is a very capable tank, and compared to the B1, it feels much more mobile because of it's faster traverse speed. It also has a better turret traverse speed.
It's armor is just great, and together with the decent mobility, it can maneuver quickly and do stuff like defending the base in time, or cancel any fast tanks trying to circle you way easier.

The gun has slightly weaker stats (Except for Aiming Time) than the B1 however, most hurtful being it's penetration., but the gun is still capable, especially since it only sees it's own tier, making the worse gun stats barable.

All in all I would say this is one great tank to play for fun, since it has the best matchmaking it can get, great armor, making you able to troll enemies, and an average gun to just kick ass with as long as you stay alive long enough by using your armor.

Only draw back is that you NEED to shoot premium ammo at tanks like the Matilda, since it has no spot it can penetrate, unless you pen the engine deck from a weird angle. Premium ammo is also adviced for other more armored tanks.

Road To Excellence: IS-4: Epic 7884 Damge!

Just released a new Road To Excellence video.
Platooned up with BIG_ONE_R in his IS-7, we managed to push the east flank on Erlenberg, slaughtering everything in our path.
With only a single Tier 10 tank in our way at the east flank, as the other tier 10 tank on their team is on the other flank, we eventually manage to conquer the entire map by slowly heading towards the west flank and slowly start to defend the middle base.
Sadly enough for BIG_ONE_R, he didn't manage to survive in the match and left me for cleanup.
This lead me into beating everything in my path.
A big shame that the last enemy, the CDC, suicided himself into the water, not granting me my seventh kill.

Overall, this match shows what a great potential the IS-4 has as an allround heavy tank, with good allround stats, being there as an unstoppable force against all the enemy tanks that were left.

Enjoy!
